KYELKids Yoga for Early Learning

Our story

Small moments. Lasting impact.

A modern approach to early childhood wellness that makes room for movement, feelings, and a little everyday joy.

How it began

It started in the classroom.

After years of working with young children, KYEL’s founder, Sonia, began noticing how much a simple breath could change the energy in a classroom. A transition from play to learning, a child experiencing big emotions, or a room full of little ones needing to refocus could all benefit from the same thing: a moment to pause, breathe, and reset.

Through firsthand experience working with children, Sonia began incorporating simple breathing techniques, movement, and yoga-inspired practices into the classroom. What started as tools to help children transition and regulate became something much bigger — an approach to helping children understand their emotions, process their thoughts, and become more aware of what is happening within themselves. That became the foundation of Kids Yoga for Early Learning.

KYEL brings together movement, breathing, mindfulness, and age-appropriate practices created specifically for early learners. These experiences are designed to fit naturally into the rhythm of a classroom or home, giving teachers, parents, and children practical tools they can use in everyday moments.

But the vision goes beyond creating a calmer classroom today. KYEL is about planting a seed early — giving children tools they can continue to carry as they grow. The ability to pause before reacting. To take a breath when emotions feel big. To recognize what they are feeling. To create a little more space between a feeling and a response.

We believe those are lessons worth learning early. Our vision is simple: make these tools accessible to children everywhere and help create a generation that knows how to breathe, feel, move, and reset.

One breath. One child. One classroom at a time.
